Bislang habe ich in meinem Repertoire vergleichsweise wenig 18. Jahrhundert. Ich überlege, ob ich dieses Wenige (derzeit 2 Stücke von Vivaldi, 7 von Mozart) optional auch mit tieferem Kammerton anbieten sollte. Mozart, habe ich irgendwo gelesen, soll ein a' von ca. 422 Hz bevorzugt haben. Das ist näher am heutigen temperierten as/gis als am heutigen a' mit 440-443 Hz. Eine Alternative zur Alternative wäre daher eine Transposition nach unten, denn ein heutiges gis/as hat ca. 415,3 Hz, keine 7 Hz Unterschied zu Mozarts Leibkammerton 422 Hz.

Mozart, I read somewhere, is said to have preferred an a' of about 422 Hz. This is closer to today's tempered A flat/G sharp than to today's A' of 440-443 Hz. An alternative to the alternative would therefore be a transposition downwards, because a today's G-sharp/A-flat has approx. 415.3 Hz, not even 7 Hz difference to Mozart's favorite concert pitch of 422 Hz.
