Manchmal habe ich das Glück, das meine Playbacks von fabelhaften Sängern verwendet werden und ich dann obendrein die Ehre erfahre, bei einer Aufführung dabei zu sein, was in der Regel bedeutet, dass mir eine Audiodatei übersandt wird oder ich die Darbietung in einem YouTube Video miterleben darf. Im Falle der bezaubernden schwedischen Sopranistin Katarina Pilotti handelt es sich in diesem Fall auch um die Auftraggeberin, denn ich muss gestehen, dass ich ohne ihre Anregung dieses Stück vermutlich nicht in mein Repertoire aufgenommen hätte. Das Video entstand am 8. Juli 2020 bei einem Open-Air-Konzert im schwedischen Glanshammar. Wie man hört und sieht, war es an diesem Tag manchmal sehr windig. Wer die beiden bei etwas weniger Wind und als Duett hören möchte, dem sei wärmstens empfohlen, sich »Ange adorable« aus Gounods Oper »Roméo et Juliette« im selben Konzert und ebenfalls mit meiner Begleitung anzusehen und anzuhören.

The reason: The soprano solo is mostly a lyricless vocalise, so it's pretty easy to imitate with a sampled coloratura soprano from the Vienna Symphonic Library. If you want to purchase the piece as a playback, you will of course get a wav file with the vocal track muted. But I will also present the usual score video for this piece here soon. "Usual" means: as pure playback, without vocal line, as an extended free sample, so that in any case the cello solo in the middle can still be heard before I fade out.

Sometimes I'm lucky to have my backing tracks used by fabulous singers and then on top of that I get the honor of attending a performance, which usually means that an audio file is sent to me or I get to see the performance in a YouTube video. In the case of the enchanting Swedish soprano Katarina Pilotti, she is also the client in this case, because I must confess that without her suggestion I probably would not have included this piece in my repertoire.
